The nominations period for the 2008 Crunchies has ended, with nearly 170,000 nominations rolling in over the past few weeks.
Check back here Monday morning, December 15th, for the announcing of selected nominees, as well as a chance to vote for them.
And if you’d like to help make this year’s Crunchies, sponsors of all shapes and sizes appreciated. Please contact Jeanne Logozzo or Heather Harde if want to participate in the awards ceremony or reception to follow.

Friends this is a very hectic process of selecting the finalists. Specially when the nominations are so many. Its better they take their own time and get the right ones on the final lists.

What a sham, and now techcrunch is censoring comments, over 40 embarrassing comments deleted!

WTF - They removed 40+ comments on the next 2 posts & turned off comments on them…

Even though we at Forumwarz didn’t earn a coveted 2008 Crunchies Time Sink nomination despite our extensive user campaign, we wanted to thank you for holding this prestigious contest and giving us all a chance at internet glory.
Please don’t be discouraged by the negative comments you’ve been receiving as of late. It’s very easy to criticize, but much harder to pull something like this off.
We support TechCrunch’s decision to forge ahead in the face of adversity. In fact, as a gesture of solidarity, blog.forumwarz.com will begin deleting 10 random comments each day until the contest ends.
Stay the course!
